Gibson grew up in the South where she learned the power of good food, and bringing people together around the table, early on. A “reformed” business attorney, she was the longtime leader of the Marin Country chapter of Slow Food prior to founding Edible Marin & Wine Country magazine in 2009. The print and online magazine tells the stories of the extraordinary good food and drink producers in Marin, Napa and Sonoma counties. During the early days of the pandemic shutdown, she launched Bay Area Doorstep Market, a locally curated online marketplace for artisan makers of all kinds in the Bay Area and throughout Northern California.
