Nova Sayers is passionate about building integrity, health and sustainability in our food & agriculture system – in a way that creates value for brands, suppliers, and consumers. Nova represents NSF International, a global not-for-profit public health organization that helps organizations use tools like innovative brand standards, supply chain development, responsible sourcing policies, product claims and 3rd party certification to build value and earn trust. In her 4 years with NSF Nova has successfully helped launch several innovations to foster trust and sustainability, including: verification for Non GMO, Transitional, and Raised Without Antibiotics claims; Responsible Sourcing consulting to design sourcing policy and build resilient supply networks; plus innovative Standards Development projects in globally traded commodities ranging from Produce to Coffee to Honey.
Nova also engages with many industry initiatives for regenerative business and sustainability, including the Sustainable Food Trade Association, The Sustainability Consortium, the Carbon Farming working group, and a farm grant fund called Cultivating Change, she also sits on the Board of Demeter USA the certifier for Biodynamic® food and farming.
