Penny Tompkins is the Manager of CSR at Charlotte's Web, the World's Most Trusted Hemp Extract. She joined Charlotte's Web in May 2019 and co-led the company's B Lab assessment process and subsequent certification in August of 2020. In addition to managing the B Team and DEI efforts at CW, Penny leads the recently announced mentorship initiative, Seeding our Future, Together, with Angela Dawson of 40 Acres Co-Op.
Prior to Charlotte's Web, Penny worked at Canopy Boulder, her first stepping stone back into the work place after taking time off to raise her children. Previously, Penny founded two companies, Bolder Events, a Denver based special events company focused on the non-profit/charity auction space, and Synchrovation, a corporate meeting and events company.
She attended the University of Denver Hotel and Restaurant Management School and spent over 15 years in the hospitality industry including the Fairmont Hotel and Landmark Incentive Travel, both in Chicago
Penny and her husband, Tom, are enjoying life as recent empty nesters, and take advantage of all the cycling, hiking and outdoor activities available in Boulder, CO.
